HIP HOPPAS TIME LINE

TIME IS THE MOVING IMAGE OF ETERNITY.

TRUE HIP HOP IS NOT ABOUT BEING ICONIC, SAGGING JEANS, TOP OF THE CHARTS, SALES, ‘N DRINKING….

IT’S about BEING TRUE TO THE ART FORM.

“ORIGINALITY STANDS ALONE”

IT’S SLOWLY BEING UNDERSTOOD THAT THE MODALITY OF BEING IS THE MODALITY OF MIND, AND ONCE THAT REALIZATION IS PLACED IN THE CENTER OF SOMEONE’S THINKING ABOUT THE WORLD, THEN WE WILL BE POINTED MUCH CLOSER TO THE END OF HISTORY THAT I THINK WE ALL DESIRE CONSCIOUSLY OR UNCONSCIOUSLY

Maya

Māyā is the limited, purely physical and mental reality in which our everyday consciousness has become entangled. Māyā is held to be an illusion, a veiling of the true, unitary Self—the Cosmic Spirit also known as GOD. The concept of māyā was introduced by the great ninth-century Hindu philosopher Adi Shankara. He refuses, however, to explain the relationship between GOD and Māyā.
Many philosophies and religions seek to “pierce the veil” of māyā in order to glimpse the transcendent truth from which the illusion of a physical reality springs, drawing from the idea that first came to life in the Hindu stream of Vedanta.
Māyā is a fact in that it is the appearance of phenomena. Since GOD is the only truth, māyā is true but not the truth, the difference being that the truth is the truth forever while what is true is only true for now. Since māyā causes the material world to be seen, it is true in itself but is untrue in comparison to the GOD. On the other hand, māyā is not false. It is true in itself but untrue in comparison with the absolute truth. In this sense, reality includes māyā and the GOD. The goal of spiritual enlightenment ought to be to see GOD and māyā and distinguish between them. Hence, māyā is described as indescribable. Māyā has two principal functions: one is to veil GOD and obscure and conceal it from our consciousness; the other is to present and promulgate the material world and the veil of duality instead of GOD. The veil of māyā may be pierced, and, with diligence and grace, may be permanently rent. Consider an illusion of a rope being mistaken for a snake in the darkness. Just as this illusion gets destroyed when true knowledge of the rope is perceived, similarly, māyā gets destroyed for a person when they perceive GOD with transcendental knowledge. A metaphor is also given—when the reflection of GOD falls on māyā, GOD appears as God (the Supreme Lord). Pragmatically, where the duality of the world is regarded as true, māyā becomes the divine magical power of the Supreme Lord. māyā is the veritable fabric of duality, and she performs this role at the behest of the Supreme Lord. God is not bound by māyā, just as magicians do not believe the illusions of their own magic.

“illusion”, centered on the fact that we do not experience the environment itself but rather a projection of it, created by us. Māyā is the principal deity that manifests, perpetuates and governs the illusion and dream of duality in the phenomenal Universe.

Santana Skool of dance.

Santana Skool of dance is the official home for the dancer’s life style and training. The vibe is real! starting with the moment you step up on their brand new wood dance floor. It’s not your typical dance skool that publicized teachings of Hip Hop dance, rather it’s real Hip Hoppas spreading knowledge by building with the dance’s origin of the street and guiding you in what B-boy’n / B-girl’n means to Hip Hop culturally, so it’s far from commercialized propaganda of consuming culture. The space is raw with no mirrors where the observation directly connects music with your soul feeling free to just dance. Your instructor(s) and you are both in tuned with the music (that’s key) the whole time. BZ Brooks (Mr. Santana) vision of the skool seemed that he wanted to indulge your five senses with vibrant color, directly giving off a true felt experience of dance. In doing so Brooks had artists leave behind inscriptions of Graffiti art teaching our Hip Hop culture.

Our team at B-boy Original® clothing were blown away! and hope the best of luck for Ohio’s development with Dance, and BZ Brooks is a great inspiration for artists all over the globe. Much props goes out to all the B-boyz like Brooks who carry on tradition and who keep going on with their dreams. Thanks BZ Brooks for the inspiration you have giving us and continue representing your community, city, country and culture Hip Hop.
